Simonsig

Simonsig

A family owned winery established in 1968. Celebrating more than 30 years of wine making excellence. The Simonsig history dates back to the late 1600 when the farm was developed by Huguenot settlers.

The farm changed hands several times but since 1947 came into the hands of the Van Niekerk and then Malan family. In 1968 Frans Malan bottled his first wines and sold most of production is the local market. His vision and ideas on wine making and marketing spurred the estate wine concept in South Africa and gave birth to the Stellenbosch Wine Route.
